Maria Rotilu (2010)

Maria has spent the last 10 years working at and scaling multinational companies, especially startups. She was a Management Consultant at Deloitte, the former Country Manager at Uber, and now is a General Manager at Branch International - a finch platform that offers financial services using artificial intelligence. Branch is in 5 countries across three continents. Kenya, Nigeria, Mexico, Tanzania and India and has disbursed over $300m in loans, with over 5 million customers.

Tolu Ogunsina (2009)

Tolu Ogunsina is the Co-Founder and CTO of Playbrush Limited, a leading European Startup that is transforming Oral care through digitalization and gamification. Since launching in 2015, they have sold over 300,000 connected toothbrushes, and are raised >$10m in funding. In 2019, Tolu was recognized on the Forbes 30u30 list in Europe in the technology category.

Chinwe Ekenna (2006)

Chinwe is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at SUNY Albany. She got her PhD from Texas AM University and is a Schlumberger faculty for the future fellow. Her research spans robotics, artificial intelligence and computational biology with a number of peer reviewed publications and a national science foundation (NSF) award. She has mentored a masters graduate and currently has 5 PhD student working in her Lab.

Fuad Atanda-Lawal (2006)

Fuad Atanda-Lawal is the Chairman of the Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA), a position he has held since he was elected in 2017. Under his leadership, he has transformed the LCDA through the introduction of innovative and sustainable initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of the residents in his community.

Ruth Mojeed (2011)

Ruth is the founder of The Inclusion Project, addressing complex issues of decolonization (race) and gender equity. She is a Black History Month laureate (2018), Community Leadership Award (2019) by the Lt. Governor, recognized by the Premier of British Columbia for her contribution to supporting newcomers to the region. She was part of a youth delegation to the World Economic Forum (2018), a fellow with the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, a lead researcher and mentor with the UNESCO Knowledge 4 Change (K4C). She sits on the advisory of Simon Fraser University’s Community Summit, the Community Social Planning Council and the national board of the Canadian International Council (CIC).

The Covenant University ALUMNUS - Staying Engaged

Students do not just leave Covenant University when they graduate, they move on to become members of the extended Covenant University community. The Covenant University Alumni Association and the Covenant University Office of Alumni Relations together serve the more than 9,000 alumni living around the globe, helping to strengthen their lifelong connection to Covenant University.
